Source: RU is really bored
In an effort to defuse some of the bad press DC stirred up as a result of the discovery that they were planning to kill off the company’s most prominent black character, DC has hired the über successful actor / author / screen and playwright / producer / director / songwriter to create and write a new Green Lantern book: Tyler Perry Presents DC Comics’ Justice League’s Green Lantern: John Stewart.
The Outhouse, loved as the internet’s only haven for respectful race relation discussions, sent a reporter to Mr. Perry’s palatial estate located on Tyler Perry Presents Tyler Perry’s Parkway in Perrysville, Ohio:
I am humbled and excited that DC has asked me to do this. It is not every day that I get to put my name on something that has the potential to be this entertaining. Not to give anything away, but I plan on using this as an opportunity to show how African Americans and white people are different. I am even toying with the idea of giving John a white friend that is very different from John, much like the odd couple. Furthermore,
Tyler PerryI really liked the idea the former Green Lantern Corps writer, Josh Fialkov, had of making John more of a space cop, who knows, maybe he’ll have to go under cover as a strong, large, smart-mouthed woman.
Word coming out of Wondercon is that DC is also about to announce that Laurell K Hamilton will jump ship from Marvel to help DC with the perception that all of their women are treated as sex objects.
So, there you go, DC listens.

RU, or as he’s known in the writers’ room: the cute one, is relatively unappreciated in his time. RU’s YouTube show, RUviews is watched by literally multiple people every month and his Outhouse articles have helped line many a bird cage. Before you send RU a message, he knows that there are misspelled words in this article, and probably in this bio he was asked to write. RU wants everyone to know that after 25+ years of collecting he still loves comic books and can’t believe how seriously fanboys take them. RU lives in Akron Ohio (unfortunately) with WIFE, ‘lilRuRu, and the @DogGodThor. You can also find him on Twitter, Facebook, Tumblr, & even Google+ (if anyone still uses that).
