Animated programs such as Avatar: The Last Airbender and Spongebob Squarepants might be leaving the popular streaming service next month.
Source: Netflix and 'SpongeBob' to split?
Starting today, a TON of movie's from the Warner Bros., MGM, and Universal libraries go away on Netflix and instead will be popping up on Warner Brothers Instant. Just when you think the news can't get any worse, it's possible next month the popular streaming service might lose Nickelodeon too.
The LA Times are reporting that negiotations between the two companies (Netflix and Viacom) remain ongoing. As for the main roadblock to why this is taking so long? Rumors are swirling that Viacom wants out because they feel that airing content on the streaming service lowers their ratings.
Still, the discuession between the two sides is ongoing, and if there's an agreement or it falls through, we'll let you know.
