Spirited Away (2001), Princess Mononoke (1997), Kiki's Magical Deliver Service (1989), and of course the Castle of Cagliostro (1979). These are but a small hint of the famous animated works by Hayao Miyazaki. The legendary Japanese animator appears to be retiring again (he first retired right after 1997 with Mononoke, but returned four years later with Spirited).
Still, the president of Studio Ghibli (the very animation company Miyazaki helped co-found), Koji Hoshino, announced (news site NHK specifically states films all together) today at the Venice Film Festival that the legendary film maker will be retiring again and that The Wind Rises will be his last film (the movie just opened last month in Japan and it's unknown when the film will come ot America, other than Disney is once again distributing it).
