The former Miss Israel and Fast and Furious star will play the iconic DC character.
Variety is reporting that Gal Gadot has been cast as Wonder Woman in the upcoming Man of Steel sequel. While no additional details were provided, she'll be joined by Henry Cavill and Ben Affleck as Superman and Batman, respectively. Gadot, age 28, is best known for her role as Gisele Harabo in The Fast and the Furious franchise. She won the Miss Israel competition in 2004.
Deadline added this quote from director Zach Snyder:
Wonder Woman is arguably one of the most powerful female characters of all time and a fan favorite in the DC Universe. Not only is Gal an amazing actress, but she also has that magical quality that makes her perfect for the role. We look forward to audiences discovering Gal in the first feature film incarnation of this beloved character.
We'll update when we have more details.
