Sony Promises

You won't believe who they're considering for the titular role.

After spending a decade in development hell and achieving the Guinness World Record for longest unending game of spin the bottle, it looks like J. O'Barr's The Crow has finally settled on Sony Pictures. The Crow is remembered by many as the tragic tale of a man coming back from the grave to avenge not only the death of his girlfriend, but this own as well. The film was a cult hit like the comic before it, and is all the more memorable because it led to the tragic death of Brandon Lee, robbing the world of a promising action star. Sony recently reached out to the director of the upcoming Crow reboot, and he had this to say:

"I have long been interested in this project because in a lot of ways I feel that the movies and television series strayed too far from the source material. The crow is about the tragic tale of death and rebirth and I thought the movies really departed from the comic in that way. The Crow and his girlfriend were tragically gunned down after a night at the theater, and he would never kill anyone. That's like his one rule. I also think they also failed to capture The Crow's sense of humor, and we're going to be writing more quips this reboot.

Anyways we're planning on moving forward with the film just as soon as we find the right actor. Say, did you guys hear that Ben Affleck is available? "

Yikes. At this rate Sony's The Crow will be in a theater near you sometime in 2027, and that may be too soon for me.

Chad possesses a profound love of comics, art, history, violent cartoons, movies, video games and the horror genre. After the violent murder of his two favorite superheroes, he took up the task of vigilante reviewing, swearing to do all that he could to make sure no comic fan would have to live through Superior Spider-man or Final Crisis again.
