Leverage premieres its fifth season opener tonight on TNT @8/7c
Look, up in the sky... it's a bird, it's a plane.. no, it's a plane crashing?!!
When a CEO's soaring greed causes a flight to fall out of the sky, Nathan Ford's scheme-team swoops in to bring outlaw (social) justice to the scene. Cary Elwes (Saw, The Princess Bride) guest stars as the corrupt mark in tonight's Leverage season premiere, playing air-freight magnate Scott Roemer.
This fifth premiere episode could become the team's last if fans don't convince TNT *this summer* how beloved the high-stakes series is via increased ratings. Actor-Musician Christian Kane (a.k.a. Eliot Spencer) let his twitter followers know last week that fan support will be needed this year more than ever.
As the Leverage team risks everything to bring equity to the (fictional) wronged, let's not con ourselves into believing this isn't a make or break season for their odds of renewal. In real life they're depending on us. Can we fans steal ourselves a sixth season?
Leverage, co-produced by Dean Devlin, stars Timothy Hutton ("The Mastermind"), Gina Bellman ("The Grifter"), Christian Kane ("The Hitter"), Beth Riesgraf ("The Thief") and Aldis Hodge ("The Hacker"). The whole crew is on twitter so just click any of their names above to scope out and follow their pages; you can follow the official LeverageTNT show account here.
