Your Top Marvel Villains: OPC part 5

1marvelvillainslogo.jpgThe Anti-American grouping, aka Team Frag it, of the One Point Club. Fun villains in this group, do you think they should appear on the list? You decide!!

Ursa Major ursamajor.jpg

Dude. I frickin’ love this guy. I first discovered him in the X-Men vs. Avengers mini, when the Avengers wanted to arrest Mags, and then the Soviet Super Soldiers came in and wanted Mags for killing the submarine crew. Loved it. Glad to see him return, too bad it was in the pages of Red Hulk.

Ursa Major has the ability to transform himself into humanoid bear. While in this form, Ursa Major retains his human intelligence, personality and ability to speak, though his personality does become more feral if he remains in his transformed state for several hours consecutively.

While transformed, Ursa Major possesses superhuman strength, stamina and resistance to physical injury to a much greater degree than an actual bear. His strength is sufficient enough to allow him to engage in a one-on-one battle with the Hulk and survive. His senses are also heightened to a superhuman degree, particularly his sense of smell that he can use to track a target by scent. Also, like a real bear, Ursa Major possesses non-retractable claws. These claws are relatively blunt, as they are with an actual bear, but can be used as effective weapons when coupled with his great strength.

alrahman.jpgAbdul Al-Rahman

Furious at the invasion of Iraq by American super-soldiers, scrawny Azerbaijani teenager Abdul Al-Rahman volunteered to undergo medical treatments to gain superhuman abilities that would allow him to strike back at America. The treatments were successful, and Al-Rahman rapidly gained muscle mass and an athletic physique. He was described as "the first person since Steve Rogers responsive to the Super Soldier Serum."

During the Liberators' invasion of America, he engaged Captain America (Steve Rogers) in hand-to-hand combat, ordering all other units to not interfere. After Rogers nearly defeated him, the Colonel rescinded his order, having his soldiers hold Rogers down while Al-Rahman prepared to decapitate him. However, the Hulk threw Captain America's shield with enough strength to slice off the Colonel's hands, giving Captain America enough time to break free and knock the Colonel into the fountain of the World War II memorial. Captain America then impaled Abdul with his own weapon.

Hate-Monger

Oh Nazis, ya gotta love them. OK, that came out wrong. I mean they are awesome villains, you really can't get more evil then a Nazi, right? Hmmm, how many Nazis were on this list anyways? Baron Blood, Hitler, this dude, Red Skull (yeah he hasn't shown up yet but he’s on the list, Hydra (which was started by Strucker who is a Nazi), did I miss anyone? Probably.

Anywho, this is a new Punisher villain, an all hew Hate-Monger. I like his outfit. Not so much on Frank’s though, what the hell were they thinking?

crimsondynamo.gifCrimson Dynamo

The Crimson Dynamo is an armor worn by many in the service of the Russian (formerly the USSR) government, some good, some evil. Gennady Dmitreivich Gavrilov is the current wearer of the armor.

The first person to have been the Crimson Dynamo was a Russian inventor named Anton Vanko. Anton built the original battle suit and battled Iron Man, he defected to work for Tony Stark. Vanko died killing the second person that would don the Crimson Dynamo armor, Boris Turgenev. Boris was killed by the original Anton Vanko because he had been sent to assassinate Vanko.

Alex Nevsky who is the protégé of the original Crimson Dynamo would become the third person to have donned the battle suit and title of Crimson Dynamo. Alex Nevsky would be the Crimson Dynamo until his death at the hands of the KGB.

Yuri Petrovich, Dimitri Bukharin, and Colonel-General Valentin Shalatov who operated as Russian agents who would be the other Crimson Dynamo's. Shalatov engineered the disgrace of Bukharinso that he could become the Crimson dynamo. Shalatov wanted to restore Russia to its former glory, but later changed his stance and helped Iron Man defeat Titanium Man. The more recent Dynamo is the 7th, Gennady Dmitrievich Gavrilov.
