Chasing The Matrix:
Nightfly's Music Video Week in Review  (week of 1/29/12)

This week's column once again reflects another week with ample new releases to choose from. More than a couple videos merely linked this week would probably have been embedded in a less loaded one.
One thing for sure, as much as I try to catch the majority of new videos released each week I know there're several I miss. So, once more, I ask that you please alert me to any cool videos I may miss so I can either include them in the next column's Make-Up section or you can embed them yourself in the comments area. Thanks.

Before getting down to business I thought I'd also note the appearance of Nicki Minaj guest starring in not only one, but two hot videos spotlighted this WiR.

The first bonus video presented in this column is one I would've surely missed if not for famed fashion editor Nina Garcia sharing it via tweet. To me, it perfectly embodies the modern marriage between fashion and music in advertising. Behold the 2012 Spring/Summer women's collection by Prada (and make sure to follow Nina Garcia on twitter).

This clip stands out-of-competition for what I hope are obvious reasons. For one, I tend to keep live videos from competing against special effects and/or animation laden shorts plus this particular clip just sort of seemed more transcendent to me than the rest.
