Affleck, considered a major ally of DC Comics for his abysmal Daredevil movie, is being considered to direct Justice League.
Variety is reporting that Ben Affleck has been approached to direct Warner Bros. upcoming Justice League movie. Affleck was the star of 2003's Daredevil film, based on the Marvel Comics character. The film was so bad that it is blamed for setting back Marvel's movies properties by at least ten years, resulting in bad movie aftershocks like Elektra, Ghost Rider, and X-Men 3: The Last Stand. It has long been theorized that a performance as wooden and unwatchable as Affleck's Matt Murdock could only be the result of intentional sabotage, and today's news seems to confirm that allegation.
"Anyone who makes a Marvel movie that god-awful is an asset to DC," said an unnamed Warner Bros. executive. "The enemy of our enemy is our friend."
