In 2012, Love and Rockets, one of the greater acheivements in independent comics, will be celebrating its thirtieth anniversary. Let's just think about that for a second.
Ok, now that we've done that, let's talk about what Jaime and Gilberto Hernandez, of Los Bros Hernandez collectively, will be doing to mark the occasion. Apparently, it's something they don't do a lot of: go on tour!
Starting with Washington DC and heading up to Brooklyn, Los Bros will be touring with Love and Rockets, participating in signings and readings and Q&A's the whole way up the Northeast. It's a pretty great way to experience the greatness of Los Bros and Love and Rockets!
The dates for the tour are as follows:
Saturday and Sunday, Sept. 15 & 16 • SPX, Bethesda, MD
Tuesday, Sept. 18 • Atomic Books, Baltimore, MD
Wednesday, Sept. 19 • Philadelphia Free Library, Philadelphia, PA
Friday, Sept. 21 • The Rock Shop, Brooklyn, NY
Sunday, Sept. 23rd • Brooklyn Book Festival, Brooklyn, NY
Check out this way cool tour poster, and then head on over to the Fanta website (linked above) to get more details on the big tour!
