Liefeld states that Johns is leaving Aquaman and that he knows the identity of the replacement writer.
Rob Liefeld's twitter account has been a treasure trove of news articles over the last two weeks since his public resignation from DC Comics. Today, Liefeld dropped another tidbit: that Geoff Johns will be leaving Aquaman. While the news hadn't been made official by DC yet, the creative change had been rumored for about a month now. Those rumors were strengthened by the announcement that Johns would be writing a new Justice League of America title in 2013.
Interestingly enough, it appears that DC had already lined up Johns' replacement and that Liefeld knows who it is. Considering that Liefeld was just a "cog in the machine" as he put it, it's a bit intriguing. Perhaps Johns will be replaced by a high-profile writer well-known to Liefeld?
