About That Iron Man 3 Armor…

According to a rumor, the Iron Man 3 armor we saw at SDCC 2012 might not really be the "next" Iron Man armor.

According to Latino Review, the armor that was on display at the Marvel booth at San Diego Comic Con may not be the 8th iteration of Tony Stark's armor.

If the rumors are true, consider the rest of this article to be spoilers about Iron Man 3.

Latino Review says that the armor is not the Mark VIII or even the Mark IX, which might be what one expects in the upcoming movie but Iron Man armor Mark XLVII. Yes, XLVII, or for the the Roman numerically-challenged, 47.

Why 47? Well, because of the threat Tony Stark faces from the Mandarin, he decides to go big. The Mark XLVII can control multiple suits of armor, so count on the number not being a coincidence.

We'll find out if this rumor pans out on May 3, 2013.

Iron Man Mark XLVII?
