Though his character was killed off in the season two finale, Johnny Lewis is probably best known for his role as a prospect attempting to join the motorcycle club 'Sons of Anarchy'. He has been on a downward spiral since leaving the show, a choice that he made - not a direction chosen by writers.
Wednesday morning he was found dead in a driveway, apparently having fallen from the roof. Police believe he was on some sort of drugs at the time, perhaps PCP or meth. Inside the home, the 81-year-old woman he rented from was found beaten to death. After struggling with two men, the 28 year old actor fled to the roof.
Kurt Sutter posted this message on twitter this morning:
UPDATE: According to TMZ, the actor had been recently released from jail only six days prior to the killing, had several criminal cases filed against him, and had also spent time in rehab. Inside the home where the landlady was murdered, her cat was also killed and the home ransacked. The two men that struggled with him said the actor seemed to have "superhuman strength".
