Dynamite Entertainment has announced that Mark Waid will be joining the company on a Green Hornet ongoing series.  Waid's found success in pulp heroes recently, with Rocketeer and the Cargo of Doom enjoying critical acclaim over at IDW.  While a monthly artist was not named, Dynamite also announced that Waid would be joined by Paolo Rivera on covers.  Rivera and Waid most recently teamed up for an Eisner Award winning stint on Daredevil before the partnership was broken up so that Rivera could pursue creator-owned work.

In a PR from Dynamite, Waid stated that his story arc would feature the Green Hornet's later years and a mistake he makes that could cost him everything.  The announcement also mentions that the series will begin in 2013, meaning there's still plenty of time for Dynamite to track down an equally impressive interior artist for the series.
