Green Arrow will be a playable character in the series.
We've received two bits of news from the Injustice front this morning. First, EW revealed that Green Arrow will be a playable character in the fighting game, joining Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, The Flash, Catwoman, Nightwing, Harley Quinn, Cyborg, and Solomon Grundy in the game. Judging from the promotional still attached to the announcement, it appears that Green Arrow has lost his contacts and will angrily squint his way through anyone that hinders him from finding them. Be sure to check out EW's website for a video showcasing the character's moves.
In addition, Ed Boon, co-founder of Injustice maker NeatherRealms Studio, stated that they were working with DC on developing a tie-in comic book to the game, presumably in the mold of the comic tie-ins to Arkham City or DC's MMORPG. No word on who will be working on the project, but it will presumably help fill in exactly why all of DC's characters are pounding the snot out of each other.
