The movie is being adapted by RZA and Reginald Hudlin.
Grant Morrison's Happy is being produced into a feature length film. The Image miniseries, a crime series co-starring a flying blue horse, will be directed by RZA, former frontman for the Wu Tang Clan, and produced by Reginald Hudlin, producer of Django Unchained. Morrison himself will write the script.
Happy's definitely a trippy comic, a quasi-parody of the ultra-gritty, profanity laden crime stories of Warren Ellis mixed with a dash of Morrison's special brand of LSD. It's one part My Little Pony, one part Fell, and one part Darick Robertson's gorgeous artwork. The fact that RZA is directing the film seems somehow appropriate and will spawn what's sure to be many jokes should the film ever move past preproduction.
