Ed Brubaker has gone Hollywood. The former Captain America writer, whose run is apparently being used as the inspiration for the next Captain Ameirca movie, Captain America: The Winter Soldier, is cashing in on his notority with two projects in Hollywood.

The first project, titled Rising Suns, is described as "a stylized crime thriller" about "an American Yakuza underboss fighting for his life – sometimes with martial arts skills he honed during his time in Japan." 20th Century Fox TV has bought the rights to the project, for which Brubaker will both  serve in the role as both writer and executive producer. Kyle Killen (Awake) will also be an executive producer on the project.

The second project is an yet-unnamed spy project sold to NBC involving "a young female agent-in-training, who is part of her agency's cleanup crew and shadows a more famous agent erasing all traces of his missions." Brubaker again will serve as writer and executive producer, in association with Peter Traugott and Rachel Kaplan.
