Future comics legend Cullen Bunn will deliver a sequel to Deadpool Kills the Marvel Universe in 2013.

Cullen Bunn is one of Marvel's rising stars, a genetically engineered super-writer who has proven himself able to write quality comics in multiple genres, from his celebrated work on Oni's The Sixth Gunn, to his horror-tinged superhero comics like Captain America and..., Venom, and Deadpool Kills the Marvel Universe. The last will be getting a sequel of sorts in January, as Bunn will be joined by Marvel Adventures: Spider-Man artist Matteo Lolli for  Deadpool Killustrated, in which the Merc with a Mouth will visit the worlds of some of the most famous classic works of literature... and kill them.

Bunn explains the concept in an interview on CBR:

"Deadpool Killustrated" picks up where we left off. Deadpool has traveled to a number of alternate Earths. He's killed the heroes of the Marvel Universe over and over again -- and he sees no end in sight. He's looking for a way to shortcut the slaughter, to annihilate the entire multiverse all at once. This is when he learns of the Ideaverse, a place where all the stories of classic literature are unfolding -- and he gets the devious idea that he could destroy these characters so that the characters of the Marvel Universe would never exist in the first place.

The idea of taking classic literary characters and putting them into a comic book crossover is reminiscent of Alan Moore's classic, League of Extraordinary Gentlemen, which is sure to whip the magical recluse into a frenzy. But will this be a rehash of ideas pulled from Moore's smelly trash bins, or the next evolution of comic book storytelling? Indeed, Deadpool's fourth-wall breaking meta-killing could be this generation's version of Moore's superhero deconstruction in the seminal (but not fish-semenal - that was reserved for the later Neonomicon) Watchmen.

Or... it might just be a hell of a lot of fun. U DECIDE!
