NYCC: Van Lente and Kurth to Relaunch GI Joe for IDW

At the IDW panel at New York Comic Con, it was announced that Fred Van Lente and Steve Kurth will be taking over GI Joe with a new #1.

Well, it's been over three years, so GI Joe was way overdue for another relaunch. Stepping up to the plate will be Fred Van Lente and Steve Kurth, who will take over creative duties starting with GI Joe #1 in February. No word on what this means for GI Joe: A Real American Hero, or on whether this series will be set in the current continuity. Personally, we would like to see the current series continue in its own universe, as nothing is better for comics than impossible-to-follow continuity.
