The idea behind it is that Joker sees that Batman has this whole new family. The Joker feels that he has come to Gotham to serve Batman as his king. We will see a lot of the other villains.
The Joker has a big secret on Batman that will come out later. Stay tuned!!
Concerning Talon: "we can't reveal too much about what happens to Calvin Rose, but, we find out what happens to him in the wake of the Court of Owls". Also brand new characters and corners to explore in coming issues. The cover to Talon #4 shows Talon strung up on the crown of the Statue of Liberty.
Batman Incorporated #7: Grant says that although it will not be part of Death of the Family... there will be family, and there will be death.
Kyle Higgins on Nightwing: "It's full throttle on Nightwing right now. There is no stopping Joker! He is going to attack everyone's greatest weaknesses.The way he goes after each member of the Bat-family is a very specific way to attack a weakness. The way he goes after Nightwing is tied into everything we've done so far. Coming out of this event there is a huge huge fallout, the series will change a lot in very exciting ways as we deal with what happened here."
Someone yelled "Don't kill Nightwing, please!" Higgins replied, "Well why does Dick Grayson have to be Nightwing?"
Mike Marts promised that seeing Catwoman interact with Joker is going to be great fun.
Batgirl #16 also has Batgirl with a big joker smile. Gail's stuff is promised to be just incredibly scary,
