At least one of the movie's antagonists will be familiar to fans of the classic X-Men story.

Mark Millar all but spoiled the presence of a popular set of X-Men villains in the upcoming X-Men: Days of Future Past movie. In an interview with SFX Magazine, Millar mentions that the upcoming movie will have "robots" in the movie, referring to the Sentinels, the mutant-hunting robots that frequently fight the X-Men in the comic books.
The Sentinels were originally set to be featured in X3: The Last Stand, but were scrapped when Bryan Singer left the X-Men franchise. However, a Sentinel did make a cameo in the movie, getting decapitated by Wolverine off-screen during a Danger Room training sequence.
With the Sentinels appearing in the film, I'm wondering if the "Days of Future Past" movie will closely follow the original comic book, which included the deaths of many of the X-Men (albeit in a possible future). I know I would plunk down all my money to watch Wolverine get disintegrated over and over again, so here's to hoping that Millar can make that happen.
