Having conquered California, housemaids and the Expendables, Arnold Schwarzenegger is now returning home to Cimmeria. Hollywood Reporter has released is reporting that the famed action star will return to the role of Conan in The Legend of Conan, a sequel featuring the famed barbarian during his final years of life. The movie, which will be produced by Fredrik Malmberg and Chris Morgan, will be released in summer 2014.
Schwarzenegger starred in two films as Conan before moving on to such hits as Last Action Hero and Jingle All the Way. The franchise was rebooted in 2011 with a film starring Jason Momoa, but that flopped due to its terribleness. Producer Chris Morgan stated that neither the reboot nor Conan the Destroyer will be mentioned in the new movie and that The Legend of Conan would only act as a sequel to the original film.
According to Morgan, the film will be about "that Nordic Viking mythic guy who has played the role of king, warrior, soldier and mercenary, and who has bedded more women than anyone, nearing the last cycle of his life. He knows he’ll be going to Valhalla, and wants to go out with a good battle."
So who's ready to see Conan crush his enemies, see them driven before him and hear the lamentations of their women one more time? Anyone?
