The latest in the ongoing toxic characters saga at DC Comics: Chuck Dixon is glad Steph is not in the DCnU!

The Outhouse has long reported on the ongoing saga of dickery at DC Comics regarding the "toxic" characters Stephanie Brown and Cassandra Cain. DC executives, led by Dan Didio, have allegedly been involved in a conspiracy to prevent the characters from appearing anywhere. This corporate vendetta has possibly manifested in the replacement of Brown as Batgirl by Barbara Gordon in the Nu52, the replacement of Brown with Gordon as Nightwing in the Smallville comic, a hiatus for DC's Young Justice cartoon starting with an episode Brown was supposed to appear in, and multiple hair color changes in various DC comics. Though the conspiracy theory seems absurd to some, the evidence is overwhelming, and the saga itself is like the goose that laid the golden egg for comic book bloggers.
Today, Chuck Dixon, the creator of Brown, is doing an AMA (Ask Me Anything) on Reddit, and Dixon had the following comments about Brown in the DCnU:
I'd keep Steph out of the New 52. It's like letting your kid play in traffic! Then, when it's all over, bring her back.
So we can take it that not only is Dixon not a fan of the Nu52, but he also expects the experiment to end and the OldDCU continuity to return eventually.
