Remember when we said that the popular Star Wars: The Clone Wars show might be moving from Cartoon Network to Disney XD? That move might be happening sooner as opposed to later. According to a report by the Hollywood Reporter, the show's licensing agreement is on a one year term and will expire next spring.
Representatives from both companies have said that they'll make a decision on the show at the end of the season. While nothing's official, there's no reason for Disney not to move the show over to Disney XD, where CEO Bob Iger said Star Wars programming would be able to thrive. Iger has already stated his desire to establish a Star Wars programming block similar to its hour long Marvel block. Even if the show does move, Cartoon Network will maintain the rights to run old episodes of The Clone Wars, at least for a little while.
So Clone Wars fans, do you think moving the show would be a good thing or a bad move? Leave your comments below!
