Folks, Rich Ginter is a former Art Director at Marvel who used to live in Staten Island, but nowadays lives in LA. Staten Island, as some of you will know, was hit particularly hard by last week's Hurricane Sandy, as was so much of New York City, Long Island, and New Jersey. Thus, Ginter has started the Art for Sandy Relief Effort, which has set up a slew of eBay auctions selling original comic art, with 100% of the proceeds going to, you guessed it, the Hurricane Sandy Relief Efforts in the Northeast. We know you like comic book art, and we hope you like helping people in need. The auctions are up throughout this weekend.
Here's a sampling of what you can find in the eBay auctions:
How woud you like a Dr. Doom by Tommy Lee Edwards?
Or a page of Spider-Man art by Paolo Rivera?
Or this cool Captain America sketch by John Paul Leon?
There's also this Punisher page, by Mico Suayan:
Or this drawing of The Sinister Six plotting against Spider-Man during a card game:
All that and more could be yours this weekend, if you bid in the charity auction!
To learn more, you can head over to the Art for Sandy Relief Facebook page, and here are the eBay listings!
