Earlier it was announced that Clark Gregg and Ming-Na Wen would be in Joss Whedon's S.H.I.E.L.D. television pilot. Now, two more actors have been chosen to fill out the ranks.
Elizabeth Henstridge will be playing Agent Gemma Simmons (Jemma in the original casting description) while Ian De Caestecker will be cast as Agent Leo Fitz.
From the original casting description:
These two came through training together and still choose to spend most of their time in each other’s company. Their sibling-like relationship is reinforced by their shared nerd tendencies – she deals with biology and chemistry, he’s a whiz at the technical side of weaponry.
They are also described as always "bickering".
S.H.I.E.L.D. is planned to air on the ABC Network
