It's kind of like when your ex-girlfriend dumps you. Then she starts putting up pictures of herself having fun with her new boyfriend on Facebook. Except maybe she was never your girlfriend in the first place. You were just in the friend zone, harboring a secret crush. And the Facebook account is a fake that you made just to stalk her, because you're crazy. And maybe, just maybe, that restraining order was bullshit, and that meddling judge is getting in the way of true love, dammit! It's not fair! Why can't she see that what she's been looking for has been right in front of her this whole time?! Why?! WHY?!?!

That's how The Outhouse feels to learn that Dark Horse will be partnering with io9 to release daily webcomics of Matt Kindt's hit MIND MGMT on their website.

No. That's not right. We're happy for them. Really.

*sob*

The comics started yesterday, and a new one will be posted every day this week. Here's the press release:

DARK HORSE PARTNERS WITH io9 TO RUN AN EXCLUSIVE STORY FROM MATT KINDT’S MIND MGMT!

NOVEMBER 26, MILWAUKIE, OR—Matt Kindt’s innovative new series, MIND MGMT, has been garnering praise from fans and critics alike throughout its six-issue run! Now, Dark Horse is partnering with one of the series’ strongest supporters, leading science fiction blog io9, to bring fans an exclusive series of daily webcomic strips!

MIND MGMT follows a young journalist who stumbles onto a much bigger story than she bargained for while investigating a bizarre case of memory loss on a commercial flight. Her ensuing journey involves weaponized psychics, hypnotic advertising, talking dolphins, and seemingly immortal pursuers, as she attempts to find the flight’s missing passenger, the man who was MIND MGMT’s greatest success—and its most devastating failure. But in a world where people can rewrite reality itself, can she trust anything she sees?

The first strip launches today, exclusively on io9.com, with a new comic posted daily throughout the coming week!

Look in your local comic shop for MIND MGMT #0, which collects the previous digital stories and introduces the series’ key players, and delve deeper than ever into MIND MGMT’s secret history!
