Source: Joss Whedon's 'S.H.I.E.L.D.' Pilot Enlists 'Nashville' Actress (Exclusive)

Chloe Bennet (aka. Chloe Wang) most notable for being in the Nashville television show will join Marvel's/Joss Whedon's S.H.I.E.L.D. television cast. Bennet will play Skye, described as "a confident woman who is slightly obsessed with superhero culture and the shadow organizations that exist within it… edgy and can out-talk anyone with her unflappable nature." Other descriptions include "bubbly and goofy" and "also warm, edgy and witty".

Bennet joins fellow regular castmembers (and agents) Clark Gregg (Phil Coulson), Ming-Na Wen (Melinda May), Elizabeth Henstridge (Gemma Simmons), Iain De Caestecker (Leo Fitz), and Brett Dalton (Grant Ward) in the S.H.I.E.L.D. television pilot. The pilot is rumored to be coming in Fall 2013.
