Tron: Uprising Canceled

The Disney XD show will not be renewed for a second season and has been canceled.

It has been getting many stellar reviews, been nominated for numerous awards, and has a small but devoted fan base, but it appears none of these things could save Tron Uprising from cancelation. Yesterday, one of the show's artists, posted on Twitter, stating:

We're gonna look back at this show & think, "We really had something there."

He then fully confirmed that the show wouldn't be returning for another season. Much like it's opposite number, Motor City, Tron Uprising had struggled to find viewership in the random time slots it was put in on Disney XD, though it originally garnered a high rating with it's debut episode.

Ironically, this comes just after the show had it's score released online. The final batch of episodes the show has already produced will air by the end of January.
