The Superior Spider-Man writer apologizes for trolling the fanbase of Spider-Man 2099, and then he does what he does best: gives those fans hope.

Today on MTV Geek, Superior Spider-Man writer Dan Slott had this to say:

Of course it didn't help matters that this reporter kind of helped fuel that fire numerous times. So will the writer bring the character back? Or will it just be an offhand scene? Only time will tell, it seems, though one has to wonder as well why the cover behind Slott was blurred. Perhaps a future cover?
