The action figure line that NECA has produced for the movie Django Unchained has sparked controversy.

The Daily News reports that Rev. Al Sharpton's National Action Network has set their sights on the action figure line produced by Neca and is demanding a national boycott.
Rev. K.W. Tulloss, NAC President of Los Angeles had this to say: "Selling this doll is highly offensive to our ancestors and the African American community," and goes on: "The movie is for adults, but these are action figures that appeal to children. We don't want other individuals to utilize them for their entertainment, to make a mockery of slavery."
Najee Ali from Project Islamic Hope who has seen the actual movie twice had this to say on the issue: “I actually enjoyed the movie, but we cannot support this type of commercialization,” Ali said. “I don’t seen any dolls representing Hitler that came from Tarantino’s (Holocaust movie ‘Inglourious Basterds’)...I don't see them making dolls of Holocaust survivors who are bald and starving in concentration camps.”
The bio for the figures state though that the recommended age for the figures are eighteen years old. Here's a picture of the "offending" figures:
