A new crop of special effects make-up artists join host McKenzie Westmore on the fourth season premiere of Syfy's Face Off tonight (1/15).
Syfy's hit competition reality series Face Off returns tonight (1/15) featuring 14 new aspiring special effects make-up artists creating amazing works of living art in hopes of becoming the next great name in movie magic. Season Four promises to be the show's biggest season ever with contestants competing for the opportunity to guest lecture at Make Up Forever's academies in New York and Paris, a 2013 Fiat 500 and $100,000.
Tonight's theme of Royalty is launched by a foundation challenge taking place onboard the storied Queen Mary ocean liner. While aboard the retired vessel host McKenzie Westmore announces that her legendary father, Oscar and Emmy award winning make-up master Michael Westmore, will join the show as the contestants ongoing Mentor for each and every episode this season. Ve Neill, Glenn Hetrick and Neville Page return to again serve as expert judges, joined by a different renowned guest judge each week. This week John Rhys-Davies of the Indiana Jones and Lord of the Rings sagas acts as guest judge for the premiere's Spotlight Challenge, helping determine which competing artist creates the most impressive Goblin King.
