Despite its ban on "R rated" curses in its comic books, DC has revealed a new logo to go along with its latest 90's throwback sales gimmick. The company announced that all 52 of its mainstream titles would have a "WTF Certified" stamp on it, presumably as a wink to fans who have been wondering what the fuck has been going on at DC.
"Lissen," said Dan Didio, once a soft-spoken DC executive. "We wanted to make sure that fans had a fucking idea what the fuck would be happening in our motherfucking comics. I'm fucking sick and tired of listening to bitchy fans and their fucking excuses."
"Fuck," agreed Bob Harras, DC's editor in chief. "Fuckity fuck fuck, fuckity fucking fucks, fuckily."
However, not every fan was amused by the new logo. "Get these motherfuckin' stamps off my motherfuckin' comic!" said Sam Jackson, while simultaneously cutting off a velociraptor's head with a lightsaber and choking a snake. "Comics, motherfucker. Do you read them?"
Frankly, we're not sure what the fuck to make of this logo ourselves, but we're fucking glad that we just used the word "fuck" in an article twenty-two times, matching the average amount of f-bombs dropped in a scene from The Wire. And that's the only thing that fucking matters.
Here's the fucking logo.
