The Outhouse refuses to guess what role the character has been cast in.
Bryan Singer tweeted that Peter Dinklage, best known as Tyrion Lannister in Game of Thrones, has joined the cast of X-Men: First Class: Days of Future Past. While Singer declined to mention what role the character had been cast in, most websites quickly began to typecast the actor, who was born with a form of dwarfism. Entertainment Weekly, Comicbook.com, ComingSoon.net and Yahoo Movies, among others, all speculated that Dinklage would be playing Puck, a dwarfish Canadian superhero.
However, we here at the Outhouse refuse to typecast Dinklage, an Emmy Award winning actor, and believe that he'd excel at any role he'd be put in. So we'll guess that Dinklage will be playing Cyclops, a character who received next to no screen time in past X-Men films, and could really use an actor of Dinklage's caliber to rehabilitate him in the eyes of the casual X-fan.
The Outhouse is sponsored this week by Late Nite Draw. Recently featured on ComicsAlliances' Best Art Ever, he is a Chicago-based commissioned artist with a self-published Digital+Print one-shot coming out in October about the abominable snowman called ABOBAMANIMABBLE, and is also available for commissions.
