Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag (Updated)

Ubisoft already announced earlier this year that a new Assassin's Creed game would be coming in 2013, but now marketing materials have leaked for a game called: Assassin's Creed IV Black Flag.  Even though nothing has been announced about the game, the poster is due to go on display March 4th.

The poster (pictured below) was drawn by artist Todd McFarlane and you notice the scene takes place on a pirate ship.  Given the popularity of the naval warfare sequences in Assassin's Creed 3, it makes sense for them to continue to focus on that, perhaps even more heavily with the rumors the game would take place in the Caribbean.

If not for the "IV" label on it, I would have guessed this to be a DLC for AC3, but maybe they are  going the COD route and churning out yearly games.  Hopefully we hear more soon, but I wonder if the same side studios behind AC: Revelations and Brotherhood is behind this next volume instead of the main studio that produced Assassin's Creed III.  Either way, I'm sure it will offer players the Assassin's Creed staple: a chance to set their controllers down hundreds of times during the game while they watch cutscenes.

UPDATE: Apparently that poster pictured above has two sides, with the back giving us far more information about the upcoming game:

Plus a rather blurred out screen shot was leaked as well, but at least it gives you a glance at the look of the character:

Supposedly the character will be Conner's Grandfather, taking place in the 1700's prior to Assassin's Creed 3.
