It appears I was wrong. For now the actor or two actors playing Cobra Commander in G.I. Joe Retaliation are now fully revealed. First off the voice of Cobra Commander will be done by Robert Baker. I know what you're thinking, "Who?" Well, the name rings a bell if you watch the show Justified (which ironically has two other actors from this current season, Joseph Mazzello and show regular Walt Goggins appearing in the movie). Baker revealed he was the voice of CC in the temp track and the studio liked his voice enough for it to be the actual one. He starts talking about the role at the 6:25 mark in the interview he has with Pop Sugar:
As for the actor who will be playing the Commander in the film, Comic Book Movies says via asking the director, Jon Chu himself, that it'll be Luke Bracey. So there you have it. The mystery of who is playing Cobra Commander revealed at long last.
G.I. Joe Retaliation hits movie theaters March 28.
