Andy Diggle is writing a new series for Dynamite entitled Uncanny. Uncanny what, you might ask? Just Uncanny.
While we couldn't get Diggle on the phone to explain the series, we did make up this awesome interview that gets the point of the comic across well enough.
The Outhouse: So let's get this out of the way right now. You forgot a word in your title, didn't you?
Fictional Andy Diggle (FAD): No.
OH: So, this book isn't about a group of male to female transgenders, AKA ex-men?
FAD: No.
OH: Is the book about a force of some kind? Or a former force?
FAD: No.
OH: Will there be any avenging going on?
FAD: No.
OH: What about skulls? Do any skulls get kicked in the series?
FAD: No.
OH: ...I don't know what else to ask.
According to Dynamite, the series is a professional gambler/thief named Weaver, who possesses the ability to temporarily acquire other people's skills and memories for a limited amount of time. It's part of Dynamite's crime line, as well. Oh, and it's illustrated by Aaron Campbell.
One final note about the comic: Diggle didn't come up with the name. Well played, Dynamite.
