Check out this first look at Invincible Iron Man #8 from the creative team of Kieron Gillen and Greg Land. According to the press release, this issue deals with fallout for Tony Stark's involvement in Avengers vs. X-Men. These aliens, it seems, took issue with the popular event comic, calling it poorly written and complaining that it grossly mischaracterized beloved heroes like Cyclops.
"There are nuances to Cyclops' character that I feel were just kind of blown away by this editorial mandate to turn him into a villain," said Kzz'RktK, an alien fanboy whose name would cause your tongue to fall out if you tried to pronounce it. "I mean, Cyclops has had to make some tough choices over the last decade, but he has done what he felt was best for the human race."
"This mustache-twirling, 'mwhahaha' Cyclops isn't the same character I grew up reading on my home planet of Mks'rkn 5," added the alien, who cannot be described with a gender specific pronoun due to the possession of both male and female reproductive organs. "It felt like Marvel just decided where they wanted to be when the story was done and wrote backwards, rather than letting the characters and their rich, established history dictate their actions," said Kzz'RktK, directly in our minds through alien telepathy.
"Also, Wolverine is a Mary Sue, or, as we call characters who are little more than author wish-fulfillment here in the Mks'rkn 5 system, a Zggorpppkkktttttttttt'tttttt'tttttttttttttttt," the alien concluded. "You know, after the popular character in the Nzlddr'fff fanfic, Lkkk'ktktkt Nrraarpapt Mzzllzzll'zll."
