A lot of fans of X-Men leader Scott Summers were unhappy with the character's treatment in Marvel's Avengers vs. X-Men super-mega-crossover event last year, but only one fan is actually doing something about it. In a story we assure you we are mostly not making up, Kathleen Thurston located Hugh Jackman, the hunky actor who plays Wolverine in the X-Men movie franchise, and threw an electric razor full of her own pubic hair at him. Jackman was unharmed, and Thurston was arrested.
The Outhouse was unable to reach Thurston for comment, but if we had, we're pretty sure she would have said something like, "I just felt like the writing on Avengers vs. X-Men was lazy and that Scott Summers was unfairly made into a villain to suit the story, and it was all Wolverine's fault."
"The rest of the Avengers are dicks, but Wolverine was is such a hypocrite about it," she probably would have added. "I mean, how many people has Wolverine stabbed to death, including his own children? How can he take the moral high ground on Cyclops for killing Xavier while being controlled by a bird-themed cosmic death god?"
Throwing the pubic hair at Jackman likely symbolized a rejection of the vulgarity of Avengers vs. X-Men's storytelling and a thoughtful critique of Marvel's haphazard disrespect of continuity when it suits the whims of its writers. Or, she is nutty as a fruitcake.
