Djurdjevic "Movie Poster" for Marvel's Infinity Revealed

Djurdjevic

Abandoning all pretext, Marvel admits that they're not making comics so much as movie storyboards in printed form.

Source: Press Release

Marvel finally seems to be embracing the criticism that their modern comics are more like decompressed movie pitches on paper instead of actual comic books with this Marko Djurdjevic  variant cover for Infinity #1, the super-mega-crossover event by Jonathan Hickman, Jim Cheung, Jerome Opena, and Dustin Weaver. The cover is done in the style of a movie poster, though a closer look at the text at the bottom reveals that it is actually a six issue comic book event.

While the art is quite stunning, what's more impressive is the fact that, between the press release and our commentary, this article spells Marko Djurdjevic's difficult name correctly no less than five times. Unfortunately, when going for a sixth, Marvel screwed up, as the filename of the image they attached to the press release spells it incorrectly: INFINITY_1_VariantDjdurdjevic.jpg.

UPDATE: Well, his last name at least. This report originally called him "Marco" Djurdjevic. You win this time, Marvel! But we'll be back! *flies away on goblin glider*

Infinity starts in August. Here's the press release:
