Deadline is reporting that Alison Williams is on the short list for a role in the upcoming Fantastic Four reboot from 20th Century Fox. They don't speculate on what part she would play, and there hasn't been any information released about the movie, but the most obvious guess would be Susan Storm, followed distantly by Alicia Masters. Williams plays Marnie, the second least detestable character on HBO's Girls, and is also the daughter of NBC news anchor Brian Williams, though she has no relation to John Williams. We watched almost the entire first season of Girls, and yet we are still unable to figure out whether the show is a brilliant critique of extremely shallow and self-absorbed people, or a serious, completely non-ironic depiction young adults today, in which case we pray for the swift death of the human race.
No word yet on whether or not Lena Dunham's unnecessary nudity will make a cameo as the Ultimate Nullifier.
