Several actors were up for the part of Eric Draven in the upcoming reboot of The Crow, including Tom Hiddleston and Bradley Cooper, but Luke Evans landed the role.
Evans is no stranger to genre movies, having worked on Immortals, The Three Musketeers, and currently on The Hobbit (parts 2 & 3). In fact, they've pushed production back on the film to accomadate his schedule currently shooting for The Hobbit and upcoming movie, Dracula. Evans was their first choice for the role and looking at his body of work and the fact they were willing to push work on the movie back so he could take the part, he must have had a great audition.
