Comic Book: The Rapy, a website dedicated to Dan Slott's Superior Spider-Man comics, claimed to have a big scoop today when they announced that Wayne Enterprises, the fictional corporation run by (SPOILER ALERT) Batman's alter ego, Bruce Wayne, would make an appearance in the upcoming Man of Steel movie. It seems like the sort of thing no one should care about, but in an age where corporations are considered to be human beings with all the rights associated with that status, I guess this sort of thing makes sense.
The news suggests, as has been widely suspected, that the Man of Steel movie will be a so-called tentpole which enables DC to build a larger, connected universe. However, logic and past experience suggests that the movie will bomb and the universe will be rebooted before DC gets around to making another Batman movie, so this could all be a moot point.
Man of Steel hits theaters June 14.
