Admittedly, that does sound pretty awesome.
Yesterday came word that DC would be publishing a Batman Incorporated Special featuring a number of stories by DC creators. Today, Dan Didio announced that his contribution to the book would be a Batcow story with art by Ethan Van Sciver. "We plan to milk this for all its worth," Didio said in a totally not made up quote. Seriously, that's what he actually said.
As much flak as we like to give DC, this sounds like a fantastic idea. Didio isn't a half bad writer, especially when it comes to coming up with goofy, out there plots (OMAC was a clinic on how to make corny concepts enjoyable). And while his dialogue can be clunky, that shouldn't be much of an issue considering Batcow doesn't speak. Besides, who doesn't want to see Ethan Van Sciver draw the shit out of Batcow for a few pages.
So, DC, we tip our hat to you. Let's hope the story doesn't end with Batcow getting killed by The Brutal Butcher, Vicious VMD or something like that.
