Detroit actually DID IT: Robocop Statue Made

The Buddies beware! Robocop is actually getting honored by the city of Detroit with a huge freaking statue.

Source: Ready, Detroit? Here comes your colossal RoboCop statue

Detroit you did it! You actually did it!

The outcry from Robocop himself, Peter Weller, and the fans of Detroit have won. ROBOCOP WILL HAVE A STATUE. Blastr goes on with tthe entire story process which sounds utterly ridiculous, but actually pretty awesome. The artist has unveiled the 10-foot tall statue (it still needs to be bronzed) and as for a place to witness it's glory: no place has yet to be determined for it.

You can expect the Robocop statue to put the fear into criminal scum sometime in 2014 in an attempt to make us all forgot that crappy Robocop remake (it's slated for a 2014 release) and remember just how freaking awesome the first two Robocop movies were.
