EA IS Developing Wii U Games After All

EA IS Developing Wii U Games After All

Either someone changed their mind, or one hand doesn't know what the other is doing as EA now says they are making Wii U games.

On Friday we found out that a Senior EA Engineer referred to the WiiU as a "piece of crap" and EA Spokesman Jeff Brown said they currently have "no games in development for the Wii U."

Well, now Polygon has heard from EA's chief financial officer Blake Jorgensen who said that EA is developing games for the Wii U, but just not as many games as they are making for the PS4 and XBox One.

Jorgensen also said, "You know, I think Nintendo's business was more [an] extension of their last console.  I think what the consumer will find is a lot more powerful gameplay with the new boxes that are coming out, and a lot of excitement, but it'll remain to be seen as to the services associated with those as to how consumers decide which direction they might want to go."

Other than that, no more details were offered.  Maybe we'll find out more at E3.
