E3: Sony Making a Big Splash with Indie Games

In their press event, Sony showcased several promising indie titles.

During Sony's Press Conference at E3, they showcased many indie titles, many of which will be console exclusive to the PS4. Along with showing these games, Sony also announced that developers will be able to self-publish on the PS4, allowing greater freedom to developers in a move that will likely earn them some kudos from small indie developers.

Games featured during this indie portion of the segment include

  • Supergiant Games' Transistor
  • Don't Starve
  • Mercenary Kings
  • OctoDad
  • Secret Ponchos from Switchblade Monkeys
  • Ray's the Dead
  • Outlast
  • Oddworld New & Tasty
  • 17-bit Games' Galax-Z

See the indie segment below from the press conference.

Previously, Ray's the Dead has been covered in podcast form here.
