CBS debuts their new sci-fi thriller this Monday
“UnderThe Dome”, premiering Monday, June 24 on CBS, is based on Stephen King’s bestselling novel about a small Maine town called Chester’s Mill that is suddenly and mysteriously sealed off from the rest of the world by a massive transparent dome.
The show follows the plight of the trapped citizens as they attempt to adapt to life in their new environment with limited supplies while also trying to maintain a sense of order as various factions vie for power.
This show is also unique due to a deal struck with online retailer, Amazon Prime
. Subscribers will be able to stream episodes of “Under the Dome” just four days after they are broadcast on CBS
. The deal is the first of its kind for a broadcast network and a Web streaming service and will be a closely watched test. UPDATE
: Prime Instant Video will be the exclusive online subscription home for "Under The Dome"
per the licensing agreement between CBS Corporation and Amazon, allowing subscribers to have unlimited access.
Also be sure to check out the show’s website at http://www.underthedome.com/
