SDCC: X-Men Panel Summary

Some thought it was a longshot, but here's a summary of today's amazing panel.

The X-Men panel was moderated by Arune Singh and consisted of Peter David (X-Factor), Nick Lowe (Senior Editor), Brian Bendis (All-New X-Men, Uncanny X-Men), Paul Cornell (Wolverine), Brian Posehn & Gerry Duggan (Deadpool), Sam Humphries (Uncanny X-Force), and writer Chris Hastings. Terry Dodson joined the panel later.

Much of the panel was a rundown of previously announced news, by title.
- Upcoming Battle of Atom event by Bendis and Brian Wood (art by Frank Cho and Stuart Immonen): "X-Men from the future come to the present and tell the X-Men to get the hell out"
- Wolverine upcoming arc "Killable": Wolverine loses his healing factor and is teaming up with Kitty Pryde; Wolverine will be getting a new costume "for a reason"
- Uncanny X-Force #12 will be fully drawn by Adrian Alphona, a solo story starring Spiral; Ramon Perez will be drawing issues 10 & 11
- Deadpool: Declan Shalvey and Mike Hawthorn will be rotating artists on this title; issue 20 will have art by Scott Koblish with some "Kirby Krackle"
- Folks showed a lot of love for Peter David and X-Factor; David has a new project "coming soon"
- X-Men: Terry Dodson will be on the team for art
- New title this November: Longshot Saves the Marvel Universe
- Another new title this November: Amazing X-Men

The floor opened to Q&A, some tidbits:
- X-Factor characters will be seen elsewhere after the book ends
- No Alpha Flight in Wolverine
- X-23 will return to the X-Men
- Kid Gladiator will return in the Wolverine & the X-Men Annual, an Infinity tie-in
- Jean Grey School will be in Infinity: The Hunt and the X-Men will be in Infinity
- Cable will appear in Deadpool
