We're not making this up.
Warner Bros. has announced that Ben Affleck will be playing Batman in the upcoming sequel to Man of Steel. Which Ben Affleck?
Here's what Zack Snyder had to say about the casting.
“Ben provides an interesting counter-balance to Henry’s Superman. He has the acting chops to create a layered portrayal of a man who is older and wiser than Clark Kent and bears the scars of a seasoned crime fighter, but retain the charm that the world sees in billionaire Bruce Wayne. I can't wait to work with him.
Affleck has been in such hits as Surviving Christmas, Bounce, Paycheck, and Gigli, considered to be one of the worst movies of all time. He also directed Argo, which was pretty good but not nearly as good as his directorial debut I Killed My Lesbian Wife, Hung Her on a Meat Hook, and Now I Have a Three-Picture Deal at Disney. Let's not forget that Ben Affleck was at one point in time asked to direct the Justice League movie that will almost 100% not happen now.
With a casting like this, I can only hope they bring back the Batnipples.
